My Breast Cancer Journey

Once a month, I’m sitting down for a conversation about where I’m at with breast cancer and how it’s affecting my life, my art, and the way I see myself.

I wanted to document this as it happens. Some months may be difficult. Others may bring humour, clarity, or something I didn’t expect. There’s no set script and no expectation to show up feeling a certain way.

I’m sharing these conversations so the people following along can hear directly from me. And if you’re going through something similar, I hope there’s something here that helps you feel a little less alone.

The Beginning of My Breast Cancer Journey

September 2026

In this first conversation, I talk about why I’m documenting my experience, how breast cancer is affecting my relationship with my art, and why this can still feel lonely even with people around me.

Starting Chemotherapy

October 2026

In this second chat, I talk about my first round of chemotherapy, facing hair loss, and learning to rest without feeling guilty. I also share why asking for help can be so difficult, even when people are ready to show up.

Keep in Touch

I plan to share a new conversation each month. You can subscribe to my YouTube channel or follow me on Instagram for updates between conversations.
